James P. Collins
Father James P. Collins was removed from ministry in 2002 when credible allegations of sexual abuse were made against him. After being ordained in 1969, he served in the Diocese of Brooklyn for thirty-three years.
Collins’ assignments during his priesthood included St. Michael, Flushing; Flushing Module Youth Program Moderator; Catholic Charities; St. Michael, Flushing; St. Clare, Rosedale; Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Forest Hills; St. Margaret, Middle Village; Bishop Kearney High School Chaplain; St. Thomas Aquinas, Flatlands; Our Lady of Angels; St. Columba; and St. Bernard.
