James T. Smith

The Brooklyn Diocese has released a list of diocesan clergy who have had credible sexual abuse claims brought against them. Included on this list is James T. Smith who was ordained on June 2, 1956.

Smith had assignments at Our Lady of Grace, Howard Beach; Holy Trinity, Whitestone; Our Lady of Hope, Middle Village; Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Long Island City; and St. Kevin, Flushing. Smith was removed from ministry in 2002 and died on January 17, 2012.
