Romano J. Ferraro
Father Romano J. Ferraro was ordained in 1960 and served twenty-eight years in the ministry before he was removed from the Diocese of Brooklyn in 1988 for being credibly accused of sexual abuse. In 2011, Ferraro was officially dismissed from the clerical state, and he’s now incarcerated for life.
While serving as a priest, Ferraro’s assignments included St. Joseph Patron; St. Rosalia; St. Lucy; Holy Family, Flatlands; U.S. Navy Chaplain; St. Rose of Lima, Rockaway Beach; St. Francis Xavier; St. Aloysius; and the Diocese of Metuchen.
